As a private vocal and guitar teacher, I try to have fun with my students! I believe that a great learning space also creates a great community. Here are three small items I have in my studio that students love!

Sticker Trade

No matter what age, all of my students love stickers! I keep a small bowl full of stickers. My students requested for: Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo and Music stickers to be put in the bowl. When students come to lesson, if they bring a sticker, they can trade for a new one! My students love to see if their sticker was taken when they come every week or if they see a sticker they really want, they look forward to lessons to trade right away!

Guitar Chord Calendar

My husband gave me a great gift for Christmas! It was a small calendar and everyday there is a new guitar chord. Most of them are very challenging, but my guitar students love to do the chord of the day in the last five minutes of lesson. My guitar students love a quick fun challenge and we are both learning new chords at the same time!

Guitar Pick Trade

In addition to the sticker trade, I have a small bowl of guitar picks that students trade as well! When picking guitar picks students requested Taylor Swift and a variety of different colored guitar picks. When guitar students come to lesson, they can look through the bowl and see if they want to trade a guitar pick. Students get excited to see if their picks were traded and there are always new ones every week.
