As festival season approaches it is time to pick out some fun music for my students! One book I enjoy using is The First Book of Tenor Solos. Check out two pieces I like are listed below:

Loch Lomund

This piece is beautifully arranged by Carl Deis. It gives a great spring time visual. Loch Lomund is such a sweet piece that many young tenors would enjoy singing to show off their range and expression as a singer.

Wayfaring Stranger

This piece is great for a tenor with a changing voice. It is not too high or too low. It shares a great story that all three verses captivate you to listen to and enjoy. Wayfaring Stranger is a great piece for a young tenor to try out to focus on their range.
