In November of 2024, I had a mini tour in Iowa for a weekend! One of the cities I played in was Clear Lake. Read below what Devon and I did over the weekend!
Walking Downtown
In order to check out the town, we walked downtown to see all the local shops! We really enjoyed seeing all the shops in the area. Devon and I love to see the antique shops. We also saw Cookie’s Etc. which has a cookie atm in front of their store. It was such a nice time walking downtown to see the area!
Dinner: GeJo’s by the Lake
Devon and I always enjoy trying a local place to eat. We heard great things about GeJo’s by the Lake! It was a quaint Italian restaurant that we both really enjoyed. I got eggplant parmesan and Devon got chicken parmesan. We both really enjoyed our entrees. I have heard that this place has great pizza to try out as well. We really enjoyed our dinner and trying something from a local spot in Clear Lake!
Drinks: 173 Crafts Distillery
When walking downtown, Devon and I noticed a 173 Distillery and we wanted to try it! When we walked in, it had such a welcoming vibe. We sat at the bar to try a drink before I went off to play my show. I had a mocktail and Devon had an old fashioned. The place glowed and it was a great stop in between dinner and my show.
Show at Tap’d
If you are looking for live music, Tap’d is the place to be! They have very experienced bartenders and a great selection of beers as well as cocktails! The bartender even made up a mocktail for me that tasted great! I played on a stage and there was so much energy in the room. Tap’d is the place to have truly a great night full of live music! We truly enjoyed performing there!
