Recently, I had my first gig in Geneva, IL at Preservation. The town was so cute! While driving through it, I learned that Geneva is known for their ice cream shops and wine tasting events! I definitely want to return to walk through the shops and try some of the ice cream! In addition to that, there is a passenger train that goes through the town for people to travel easily to other cities.
When I arrived at Preservation, I loved the entrance to the patio. There was a bar right in the middle and tables around both sides of the bar. Then, there is a section of tables, a fire pit and a stage for musicians. The patio was large but also gave a great personal performance vibe.
Preservation has a great selection of drinks and food. Their menu has a great variety! I ordered an NA drink called Wild Child. It tasted like a lavender lemonade and it was great to sip on during my performance. For dinner I ordered the pepita pesto flatbread. I really enjoy the taste of pesto and the flatbread had a small kick of flavor with red pepper flakes.
Finally, the atmosphere had a great vibe of people visiting. I was able to chat and learn about Geneva from some of the audience members. Everyone was extremely welcoming and happy to hear some live music! It was a great place to be!
